Erich Von Stroheim's FOOLISH WIVES (1922)

The 130 minutes version left of a film supposedly 6 hours long in its primary form.
The most expensive production of that time, they say. (Director Stroheim, $700,000 producer Carl Laemmle, $1,300,000).

Monte Carlo was entirely recreated on Hollywood backlot. Impressive indeed!

The story was a bit confusing at the beginning, but as the film progressed I was glued to the screen. The acting was absolutely incredible. The audio track was perfect for the film! Most uploaders of silent films seem to just throw any music on without regard to the movie. The frame rate presented seems spot on and the movie was not too fast or too slow. I highly recommend this film.

Great story, direction and perfect picture.
If people would read they would see it is in two parts. Sad - to enjoy a silent film, there are subtitles and literacy is in! Thanks for sharing this classic. Always wanted to see it!

Try the other segments, silly you!! The film is divided in 2 parts. I though it was obvious.
